M.Sc Zoology is a 2-year postgraduate course that deals with the existing and extinct animals and their genetic evolution and natural habitats. One of the most popular branches of the Science stream, which deals with the study of the fauna, or animal species.

Zoology, which is a subject of the Biology area, studies the structure, embryology, evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of both living and extinct species of animals.

Candidates can choose the specialization from the structure, physiology, ethology, biogeography, marine biology, and other branches of zoology. Candidates can go for a doctorate and postdoctoral program after the post-graduation in zoology and work as a lecturer or researchers.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc Zoology

1. Have completed B.Sc. Medical/Life Sciences with Zoology as one subject with at least 50% marks aggregate (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to Reserved Category).

2. The candidate should have completed their 10+2 examinations from a state-recognized board.

3. Final year BSc students are also eligible to apply for MSc in Zoology program, provided they submit the required documents within the specified schedule

1. Selection will be purely based on merit in the ONLINE entrance test.

2. Candidates who are awaiting the results may also appear for the entrance test subject to production of proof of having passed the examination on or before the date of admission to the course.
